About Argentium® Silver

These earrings are crafted from my own hand-coiled and hand-cut Argentium® silver rings.

Argentium® Silver is a modern silver alloy that improves on traditional sterling silver. While traditional sterling is 92.5% silver and 7.5% copper, Argentium® replaces most of the copper with germanium.

The addition of germanium gives Argentium® several wonderful benefits:

• Highly tarnish-resistant
• Brighter, whiter appearance
• Lower maintenance than traditional sterling

In my opinion, Argentium® silver has a beautiful brightness that resembles white gold more than traditional silver.

Although Argentium® silver is more expensive than standard sterling silver, the durability and long-lasting shine make it well worth it.

Easy Care

Argentium® jewelry requires very little maintenance.
To keep your earrings looking bright and beautiful, simply rinse occasionally with mild dish soap (such as Dawn) and water, then dry with a soft cloth.

Be sure to view the additional listing photo comparing Argentium® silver vs. traditional sterling silver. You’ll notice the Argentium® remains bright while the traditional sterling begins to tarnish.  Due to its brightness, it can often be mistaken for white gold.
