About Argentium® Silver

These earrings are crafted from my own hand-coiled and hand-cut Argentium® silver rings.

Argentium® Silver is a modern silver alloy that improves upon traditional sterling silver. While traditional sterling silver contains 92.5% silver and 7.5% copper, Argentium® replaces most of the copper with germanium.

The addition of germanium provides several remarkable benefits:

• Highly tarnish-resistant
• Brighter, whiter appearance
• Lower maintenance than traditional sterling silver

In my opinion, Argentium® silver has a beautiful brightness that more closely resembles white gold than traditional sterling silver.

Although Argentium® silver is more expensive than standard sterling silver, its durability, beauty, and long-lasting shine make it well worth the investment.

Easy Care

Argentium® jewelry requires very little maintenance. To keep your earrings looking bright and beautiful, simply wash occasionally with mild dish soap (such as Dawn®) and warm water, then dry with a soft cloth.

Be sure to view the additional listing photo comparing Argentium® silver and traditional sterling silver. You’ll notice that the Argentium® remains bright while the traditional sterling begins to tarnish. Due to its exceptional brightness, Argentium® silver is often mistaken for white gold.
